The "Ships Project" was founded by Ellen Harpin in October of 2001, to provide handmade "hugs from home" to troops. The Ships Project sends handmade hats, slippers, and Cool-Ties to Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines deployed across the world. To date, they have shipped more than 476,000 handmade "hugs from home" to deployed troops!

Tempe Yarn will collect items over the next several months in support of The Ships Projects. We believe this is a way to show our support for the young men and women who are serving our country around the world in the military. Check out the pictures below...they say it all.
