Knitting Cruise

Women in Fiber Arts =
Creativity + Passion + Sharing

How has fiber arts changed your life?  Whether you knit, crochet, spin, weave, needle point, or felt, you know the feeling you get doing fiber arts.  You also know the sense of accomplishment when you share your completed project with others.

Tempe Yarn and Knitted Knockers Charities, a 501(c)(3), are joining together
to hold a
"Knitting Cruise to Change Lives."
This Knitting Cruise is a time for you to Celebrate the Fiber Arts that you Love.

On April 1st, we've chartered the entire 'Desert Belle' for a two hour Fiber Arts Cruise.  The Desert Belle is on Saguaro Lake, just minutes from Tempe, which offers wonderful views of desert canyons and wildlife.  During the cruise you'll be free to roam the ship, find a lovely place to do your fiber arts, learn more about Knitted Knockers, visit with friends or simply enjoy your time with other fiber arts lovers.

There will be snacks, prizes, demos on making Knitted Knockers, and lots of fun.  There is also a no host bar aboard the ship.

Here's our details:

Where: Desert Belle located on Saguaro Lake at 14011 N Bush Hwy, Mesa, AZ 85215

When: Saturday, April 1, 2017

Time: We start boarding about 10:30am and return at 1:00pm

Cost: $30.00 per person

All profits from the "Knitting Cruise to Change Lives" will go to Knitted Knockers Charities.

Knitted Knockers Background:
As many of you know, Knitted Knockers Charities, working in partnership with Tempe Yarn, coordinates the collection and free distribution of Knitted Knockers to breast cancer survivors who have had mastectomies.

This is all made possible thanks to our Arizona core team of volunteers and to the knitters across America (with several large groups in Arizona), who make and donate knitted knockers.  Knitted Knocker Charities has given away over 12,000 Knitted Knockers to women across America.

When you make a Knitted Knocker, you change your life by giving a gift to a women recovering from breast cancer who you will never meet.  You change their live by helping them feel better about who they are after a life-changing mastectomy.
